Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Collection Officer for a Health Needs Assessment. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing health-related data to support the assessment of community health needs. This position plays a crucial role in providing accurate and comprehensive information that will guide healthcare planning and resource allocation. Responsibilities: Survey Design and Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to design survey instruments and data collection tools. Implement data collection methodologies, ensuring consistency and reliability. Fieldwork Coordination: Oversee and coordinate field data collection activities, including training of data collectors. Conduct site visits and ensure adherence to data collection protocols. Data Collection and Entry: Collect data from various sources, such as surveys, interviews, and public health records. Ensure accurate and timely entry of collected data into databases. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to validate the accuracy and reliability of collected data. Address any discrepancies or issues identified during the data collection process. Data Analysis: Assist in the analysis of health-related data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights. Generate reports and presentations summarizing the findings for internal and external stakeholders. Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of health needs. Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of data collection processes, methodologies, and outcomes. Prepare detailed reports and contribute to the development of a comprehensive Health Needs Assessment report. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related field. Proven experience in data collection and analysis, preferably in a healthcare or public health setting. Familiarity with survey design, fieldwork coordination, and data entry procedures. Strong organisational and communication skills. Proficient in using data analysis tools and software. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
